I love reading your blogs. It sounds like you are doing really well. My mother and I planted fruit trees last month (we can do that in Florida and spread a bunch of mulch – also a freebie load!

I understand your naming dilemma–if we had to name our home education enterprise I’m sure I’d have a hard time too. Names are important, so expressive, but who wants to put out precious all to the state government? It’s much simpler in WA–only one piece of paper per year, plus testing for our own records.

Yeah, as you can tell, I was supervising and used the long handled cultivator in the pic to keep them on the correct side of the bed. had they gone to the other side, they would have ate up all my lettuces!

Great post! And great idea to have your chickens help scratch up your garden for aeration! May have to release my girls in my future garden to play around for a bit!
